Microphone
If you allow it, Din uses the microphone to measure the sound level around you, only while the app is open on the meter screen. The sound is turned into a number and thrown away: no audio is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. The app works without microphone access - sessions can start from a typical-venue estimate instead.
What the app stores
Your sessions - when, how loud, what protection, and what they cost of your budget - are stored on your iPhone in the app's own database. Your settings are stored the same way. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Health data
If you allow it, Din reads your headphone audio levels and environmental sound levels from Apple Health to show your week against the safe listening allowance. This is read-only: Din writes nothing to Health, and what it reads never leaves the device. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by the App Store. Din never sees your payment details.
Notifications
The budget warning is scheduled locally on your device.
Children's privacy
Din collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
