Open Zona and you'll land on the Timer screen. Choose your mode — Pomodoro (timed work/break cycles) or Freeform (open-ended count-up timer) — then tap the play button to begin your session.

Pomodoro mode uses structured cycles: a focus period (default 25 minutes), followed by a short break (5 minutes), with a longer break (15 minutes) after a set number of rounds. The timer counts down and automatically transitions between phases.

Freeform mode is an open-ended count-up timer with no set duration. Start when you're ready to focus, and end whenever you're done. Great for tasks where you don't know how long you'll need.

Go to Settings (gear icon) and scroll to the Timer section. You can adjust the focus duration, short break, long break, and the number of rounds before a long break.

During an active session, tap the stop button. You'll be asked whether to save the session or discard it. Saved sessions are logged to your history; discarded sessions are not recorded.

Go to Settings and find the Daily Goal option. Set the number of focus sessions you want to complete each day. Your progress is shown on the Timer screen and in your widgets.

Zona tracks how many consecutive days you've completed at least one focus session. If you miss a day, the streak resets to zero. Your current streak is displayed on the Timer screen and in the analytics view.

Go to the Projects tab and tap the + button. Give your project a name and choose a colour. Free users get 1 project (which can be renamed and recoloured); Pro users can create unlimited projects.

Before starting a session, tap the project chip below the timer to select which project you're working on. The session will be tagged with that project when it's saved.

Yes. Go to the Projects tab, tap on the project you want to edit, and you'll be able to change its name and colour. There are 10 colour presets available.

Free users get a weekly bar chart and a streak calendar heatmap. Pro users unlock five chart types:

• Weekly bar chart — sessions per day
• Streak calendar — heatmap of daily activity
• Best focus hours — when you're most productive
• Project breakdown — time distribution across projects
• Session trends — how your session durations change over time

Open the Analytics tab (Pro feature). The "Best Focus Hours" chart shows which times of day you tend to have the longest and most consistent sessions.

Long-press on your Home Screen to enter jiggle mode, tap the + button in the top-left corner, search for Zona, choose a widget size, and tap Add Widget. Widgets are a Pro feature.

Zona offers home screen widgets and lock screen widgets. Home screen widgets show your daily progress, current streak, and timer status. Lock screen widgets give you a quick glance at your focus stats without unlocking your phone.

Cloud sync is a Pro feature. Sign in with your Apple account (or email) in Settings, and your sessions, projects, and preferences will sync across all your devices automatically. Data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS).

Try the following steps:

• Check that you're signed into the same account on both devices.
• Ensure both devices have an active internet connection.
• Force-quit Zona on both devices and reopen it.
• Go to Settings and check that cloud sync is enabled.
• If the issue persists, sign out and sign back in on the affected device.

Free-tier users: all data is stored locally on your device. No personal information is collected or transmitted.

Pro users with cloud sync enabled: your account information (email, display name) and session data are stored on our servers to enable cross-device sync. Analytics data is anonymised. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Open Settings and tap Upgrade to Pro. Choose between monthly ($4.99/month) or annual ($34.99/year) billing. Both plans include a 7-day free trial. Payment is handled by the App Store.

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Restoration is free and works across all your devices.

Zona Pro subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, find Zona, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll continue to have Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
